For me it’s got to be Western Cape. The combo is just unfair – mountains, ocean, wine farms, proper scenery everywhere you look. You’ve got Cape Town which is world-class, but also chilled spots where you can just switch off.
What makes it special? Variety bru. One day you’re at the beach, next day you’re in the mountains, next day you’re doing a wine tasting like you’ve got your life together 😄
Hidden gems – I’d say places like Cederberg (super underrated, amazing views and rock formations), and Paternoster if you want that quiet coastal vibe.
But ja… I’m from Gauteng, so I’ll always defend it a bit – best food, best hustle, and things actually get done here 😄
