I have added a netball fixtures page to the site, so the SPAR Proteas and the Telkom Netball League now sit alongside our rugby, soccer and cricket fixtures.
The idea is simple. One page that shows what is coming up, with the date, the start time in South African time, the venue and the competition, so you do not have to dig through three different sites to find out when your team plays next.
You can filter by competition or by team. The team pills cover the SPAR Proteas plus the seven Division 1 franchises, the Crinums, Golden Fireballs, Southern Stings, Jaguars, Flames, Aloes and Kingdom Stars. There is a toggle to show past matches and another to convert every time to your own timezone, which is handy for the Commonwealth Games games in Glasgow later in the year.
There is also an Add to calendar button. It builds a standard calendar file from whatever you are currently viewing, so if you filter to one team first, only those upcoming matches get added, each at its correct start time, into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook.
Right now it is loaded with the Telkom Netball League Power Week 3 playoffs and semi-finals at the Rembrandt Hall in Pretoria this weekend, with the Commonwealth Games netball flagged for late July. The page refreshes itself each week from the official schedules, so the finals and the Proteas internationals will fill in as they are confirmed.
